1First issues, are like a pain deep down inside, itching away at the walls of
1my bladder. Everything has to be set up and sorted out. Your starting from
1scratch. All too many disk mags go down after the first or second issue,
1simply because not enough planning has gone into them. I don't think The Zoo
1will be another casulty. I can't be sure about that last statement, but just
1look at the first issues of some other mags. They're often badly presented,
1put together in Magnum, or poorly organised - MagE instantly springs to mind.
1I'm not being arogant, or just slagging the other magazines off (apart from
1MagE, of course), but I look at the way this first issue has been put
1together and it ain't bad for a start. Thats talent, dedicated professionals
1for you, you can see that quality, it's a quality that comes from love and a
1certain inner knowing. Content is all important of course and as this is a
1first issue you can't expect too much. Basicaly this issue is to tell us
1we're here, and with a bit of commitment and alot of support from you (send
1us some stuff) we hope to remain.

1This magazine was entirely coded and put together by Kult. Allowing for all
1the heavy restrictions that have been placed on him he's done a good job,
1but, of course he promises you a better setup for issue 2. KULT IS SANE.

1Graphics are all by me, Jude. I appologise for cutting the odd corner here
1and there, but what with acting as an editor to Zoo and writing a good chunk
1of the articles I haven't had that much time free.

{1@5I also thank everybody else who has contributed and I hope to see the list
5of names associated with The Zoo grow in future issues.
5That brings me onto another point. We may seem to be asking for articles all
5the time. I've tried to keep it to a minimum, but we're always interested in
5broadening our horizons, so if you have something to say on any, any, ANY
5subject put finger to board. Don't bottle it up OUT WITH IT. Remember if you
5start a section going on a subject it will ultimately escalate as other fans
5join in the debate and send in articles. Send in what you want to read. We
5will print virtualy anything, so long as it's not utter shit, so shape Zoo
5how you want it.
5
{5@2I hope you all get our next issue and although I can't give you an exact
2release date, keep your eyes pealed in the PD libraries, on the boards etc.
2We WILL be there, do not miss us, as we have some great things planned...
